Heat Rating - Low

What are the five seeds?

Brown Mustard, Nigella, Cumin, Fenugreek and Fennel Seeds.
Panch Phorum (Panch Phoron, Panch Poron) is a blend of the five spices mentioned above. This spice mix is of Bengali origin and in no way is similar to Chinese Five Spice. Panch Phora is traditionally fried in oil at the commencement of making a curry. The name comes from the Hindustani word for five which is “panch” and “phora” means seeds.
