   Sodium Bicarbonate Powder

Product description:

A water soluble white powder or crystalline lumps with a slight alkaline taste. Mainly used in the manufacture of effervescent salts and beverages, artificial mineral water, baking powder, cleaning products and mouth wash.

What does Sodium Bicarbonate do?

Sodium bicarbonate, or sodium hydrogen carbonate, AKA baking soda and bicarbonate of soda. Sodium Bicarbonate is principally manufactured by titrating a saturated solution of soda ash with carbon dioxide.

It is also used as an antacid to treat acid indigestion and heartburn. May also used to absorb moisture and odours, a paste from baking soda can be very effective when used in cleaning and scrubbing. Used in toothpaste, baking soda helps to gently remove stains, whiten teeth, and freshen breath.

It is used in combination with acidic compounds (such as cream of tartar) as a leavening agent in baking: some forms of baking powder contain sodium bicarbonate.
