Calcium Chloride Granules
Product description:
Calcium chloride is a compound of calcium and chlorine. It is highly soluble in water and has a strong affinity for moisture.
What does Calcium Chloride do?
Calcium Chloride is a sequestrant agent. Sequestrants improve the quality and stability of foods. Calcium chloride reacts with sodium alginate and is the basis of making spheres in molecular gastronomy. It can also be used in cheese and tofu manufacture.
Calcium Chloride is a salt that is solid at room temperature, and it behaves as a typical ionic halide. It has several common applications such as brine for refrigeration plants, ice and dust control on roads, and in cement. It can be produced directly from limestone, but large amounts are also produced as a by-product of the Solvay process.
